Abstract
The possibility of using the PS-nets mathematical formalism for analyzing temporal characteristics of the functioning of a distributed database is demonstrated. Dependencies of data operation execution time from the clients of the Regional Bank of Geological and Digital Information (RBGDI) granting multi-user data access are researched. Analytical methods are used to investigate various RBGDI configuration models developed on the basis of PS-nets. The upper bounds of required dependencies are given. On the basis of the dependencies obtained, a number of guidelines on the optimal RBGDI configuration are justified, which provides the maximum speed of data operations
