Abstract
DSBIG, a double-station-based information gathering in wireless sensor networks, is proposed in this paper. The algorithm defines transmitting coordinate of cluster using double BS. And then, collecting row and paralleling column are defined by transmitting coordinate. The sensor nodes in the same cluster formed a chain using a greedy approach. In operation, the nodes in every cluster communicate with each other concurrently and LEADER transmits information received from the collecting rows to the closest BS. Simulation results show that DSBIG not only achieve reduction in energy consumption and delay time, but also improve energy efficiency and lengthen network lifetime compared with other algorithms.
