Abstract :
Obtaining suitable formal semantics for agents in e-commerce is important and one of the greatest challenges for multiagent systems. The social semantics discussed in this paper deal with the social construction of interpersonal communication, i.e., interaction within a social context. Our semantics is based on social commitments and is essential to multiagent protocols
