Abstract :
Existing decision support systems are primarily tailored to address specific decision or business problems because of the special factors that impact these specific decision areas. Rather than develop a new system for another range of problems or decisions, we have developed an object-oriented model that captures the important elements of the decision-making process, so that this information and knowledge can be captured and used over time and across organizational boundaries. Users can build upon past decisions and experiences to aid in current decision processes, thus providing a platform for storing organization-wide knowledge, and enabling organizational learning from individual learning.<>
