Abstract
Alliances for technology transfer rely on a continually updated balance of equity and efficiency, as the "virtual laboratory" allows researchers and technologists to perform beyond their personal limits, with responsibility for their own productive capabilities, within a shared vision for the whole. Examples of technology transfer alliances representing varying levels of resources and commitment are given.<>
