Abstract :
This paper discusses DAA (detection and avoidance) technique for the pulse based Ultra Wideband system to share the same frequency bands with other radio systems. The MC (Multi Carrier) -CDMA modulated signal that is spread from OFDM signal is considered as the coexisting system. The interference mitigation technique is proposed focused on the pulse repetition interval of the pulse based UWB. To mitigate the effect of interference to narrower band system by the UWB system, the effective pulse repetition interval is investigated. The proposed interference mitigation technique has advantages of simple hard ware structure by only controlling the pulse repetition interval.
