  • Abstract
    Virtual reality technology has become the hotspot in the information field in recent years. The roaming system design of residential area is of great importance to the community management and urban planning. In this paper, a typical residential area is taken as a prototype. 3DSMAX and VRML are adopted to construct the virtual scene. Combining VRML with JavaScript, the interactive function between the virtual scene and the entities is realized. At the same time, connection of VRML and database helps to facilitate the service company to enquiry and manage residents¿ living environment, and also provide the information for the potential customer who wants to purchase the apartment.
