Abstract
Experiment teaching plays an important role in remote education. It is helpful for the cultivation of students¿ manipulating ability, analyzing ability and problem-solving ability. Furthermore, experiment teaching plays a critical role in cultivation of students¿ innovation awareness and capacity. Virtual reality has advantages such as intuition, capacity to repeat, low-input and high-efficiency. It has received great attention in experiment teaching. In this paper, the principles and the technologies of EAI and VRML used to carry out remote virtual experiment are firstly discussed. Secondly, design of virtual circuit experiment system based on B/S structure is demonstrated. Thirdly, how to use Servlet to make up for the deficiencies of Applet so as to make it easier to access the database is discussed. Finally, circuit experiment in secondary schools is taken for example to testify the feasibility of the virtual experiment system. The example shows that virtual experiment is easy, efficient and intuitive. It is suitable for simulating operation of apparatus in science and engineering teaching. Virtual experiment, which needs a few hardware and software resources, is the best choice among simulation technologies. It is of high application value as well.
