Author_Institution :

Abstract :
The globalization of business is affecting developed, newly industrialized and developing countries throughout the world. The capability of many organizations to successfully extend their businesses across borders and regions is heavily dependent on the effective deployment of information technology. A growing body of research literature is emerging to guide I/T researchers in internationally focused research. Yet there is not a generally applied framework for building a cumulative tradition in the area. The author presents a preliminary framework. Key questions for research in international information systems are suggested.<>
