Abstract :
As an important link of the whole traffic management, evaluation on urban road traffic safety level can provide scientific references for urban road traffic safety management. This paper establishes the attribute synthetic assessment model and methods based on the attribute theory after that a rational, comprehensive evaluation index system is built. This model is not only suitable for the horizontal comparison of road traffic safety situation between different cities, but also capable for vertical comparison of road traffic safety in one city or district during different periods. In the end, the paper researches on Changshu city, and assesses its urban road traffic safety by the model and methods mentioned above. The research result shows that the application of attribute synthetic assessment model on urban road traffic system can identify safety limiting factors, and can offer some assistant decisions for urban traffic management.
