Abstract :
In order to solve the real-time dynamic routing problem, this paper develops a series of models for traffic volume forecasting, travel time forecasting, customer truckload (TL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) distribution volume calculation. These models, together with C-W Algorithm, are subsequently applied taking into account such factors as characteristics of customers, real-time dynamic traffic volume, travel time and vehicle capacity. A numerical example is also provided. It is concluded that the proposed methodology is a scientific, simple and has its practical usefulness.
