Abstract :
In this paper a high frequency power inverter is proposed to be used as a transmitter which broadcasts correction signals in a Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS). The power inverter is developed as a high efficiency quasi square wave DC-AC converter which is constrained to be directly fed through the 220 V mains and must guarantee continuous unattended operation. The carrier frequency is set at 300 kHz and the digital information of the DGPS modulates it with a binary phase shift keying (BPSK) method. The proposed scheme is first tested through simulations, and finally the experimental prototype is implemented
