Abstract
This paper proposes a framework for evaluating negotiation support systems (NSS). In particular, it suggests that researchers should look beyond the usual rational/instrumental perspective, and take into consideration normative/social-emotional factors. Based on a theory of normative reasoning and emotions, we derive a set of NSS functional requirements and five hypotheses to test the effectiveness of NSS.<>
