Abstract
Electronic unit pump (EUP) system is a new type fuel injection system with high injection pressure which can be applied to control fuel quantity and timing of injecting flexible. It has wide application in medium and heavy diesel engines. With one-dimensional simulation and analysis method of internal combustion engine working process, the model of diesel engine whole machine and fuel injection system were built up. A EUP diesel engine with unknown injection parameters was calibrated by numerical simulation, and the injection MAP based on the optimal compromise of power characteristics, fuel economy characteristics and emissions performance was obtained. The fuel injection process parameters under extreme cases were calibrated. This calibration method not only can reduce the experiment cost, but also can be used for calibrating injection parameters of new prototype engines.
