Abstract :
Investigated and fabricated a cathode for use in a cathode ray tube (CRT) or an image pick-up tube. The CRT and the image pick-up tube with higher brilliance and higher resolution have come to be demanded with the expansion of information technology. One of the most important techniques for satisfying these demands is to create a cathode, especially a dispenser cathode capable of emitting a current of high intensity. Numerous attempts to form such cathodes have been reported and most of the reports were on the dispenser cathode in which the current emission was greatly enhanced by reducing the associated work function.
