Abstract
The aim of this paper is to compare the steady- and transient state performances given by two different control strategies of a three-phase active power filter. The goal is to determine which control strategy provides better dynamic behaviour with the same size of passive components, especially the storing capacitor at the DC side. Simulation results comparing the unity power factor (UPF) and another control scheme based on the instantaneous power theory (IPT) are presented
