Abstract :
The development of a wideband flat array antenna for use as the home receiver antenna in a millimetre-wave video distribution system operatirq around 28 GHz is described. The antenna uses subarrays of coplanar parasitically excited microstrip patches to overcace the bandwidth limitations usually assiated with patch radiators. A coplanar corporate microstrip feed network is employed to minimise cost, and a novel waveguide-to-microstrip transition is used to feed it.
