Abstract
Resonant microwave pulse compression is a simple method for producing nanosecond microwave pulses of peak power up to GW level. Designs of microwave compression devices, compressors, in X, S and I-band have more practical form when their storage cavities are developed on the basis of singlemode waveguide or coaxial lines, and the energy is extracted through interference switches due to microwave discharge commuting.
