Abstract :
A novel zero-current switching control technique for IGBT full-bridge (FB) PWM power converters has been proposed. The key idea of the technique is to delay the turn-off time of one switch in each diagonal pair of IGBT switches in conventional PWM full-bridge power converters in order to achieve zero current turn-off of this IGBT switch. This new control technique is simple to realize. It has many advantages over conventional PWM full-bridge and phase shift control full-bridge power converters. The effect is obvious when the new technique is used in a 10 kW FB PWM power converter using IGBT switches
