Abstract :
This paper deals with an optimal control problem of a predator-prey system with Holling II functional response. The model under consideration incorporates a refuge protecting (1 - u)x of the prey and leaves ux of the prey available to the predator, where u ∈ [0, 1]. By utilizing Pontryagin´s maximal principle, we study the optimal control problem regarding u as a control function.
