Abstract :
Traffic mode choice behavior research is always the important content in the transportation planning research field. The paper takes resident traffic mode choice as the object of study, analyzes the related factors affecting resident traffic mode choice, takes use of the BP neural network can automatically obtain the relationship between the study object input and output and strong characteristics between learning and training, establishes a traffic mode choice model which based on BP neural network, and verifies the model by using the resident trip survey data of Jinan City in 2009. The result shows that the model has a very good practicality and can be utilized for resident trip traffic mode choice forecast.
