Abstract :
The research described here uses a number of analytical tools to understand the beam dynamics in a confined flow multiple beam gun and to model the three dimensional magnetic fields. In addition, a new 3D beam optics program, called Beam Optics Analysis (BOA) is in development that will allow complete modeling of the charged particle beam from the gun to the spent beam collector.
