Abstract :
We consider the problem of developing an efficient numerical technics for solving the problem of resonance phenomenon in electromagnetic wave scattering by dielectric bodies. The discrete source method is used, and its main points are formulated. A resonance absorbtion of electromagnetic energy by biological scatterers is investigated. Some new phenomenon are discovered. Also the problem of identification of a dielectric scatterer immersed in dissipative half-space is considered.
