Abstract :
The paper is to resolve the robustness problem of the camera self-calibration progress based on Kruppa equation. By simplifying the Kruppa equations and defining the target function firstly, then obtaining the initial values by three linear independent translational motion of the camera secondly, we refine the initial values through optimizing the nonlinear target function. At last, extensive simulations as well as experiments with real images show the new way can improve the robustness aspect and increase the calibration accuracy substantially.
