Abstract :
The radiofrequency (RF) properties of Cu nanolines that are arranged in a coplanar waveguide (CPW) configuration are investigated. The nanolines were used in the place of the signal track of a CPW either in a single line or multiple lines configuration. The idea was to study the RF properties of single and multiple parallel nanolines and examine the applicability of the "litz-wire" concept in a CPW transmission line. The RF characteristics of the nanolines were measured in the frequency range 40 MHz-40 GHz. The results were analyzed with the help of 3D electromagnetic (EM) simulations in the frequency range 0-200 GHz in order to examine the behavior of the nanolines when the skin-depth is comparable to their dimensions.
