Abstract
In this tutorial, the author discusses recent experiments demonstrating that quantum optical measurement techniques can be used to unravel nonequilibrium dynamics of mesoscopic systems. In particular, differential transmission experiments on a single charge-tunable QD that reveal optical signatures of the Kondo effect is focused on.
