Abstract :
In this work, the authors investigate the coupling between a single QD and the fundamental mode of a semiconductor micropillar cavity. From high power spectra we extract the quality factor Q = 12200, and a very clean spectrum showing only emission from a single QD is obtained by weakly pumping an excited (p-shell) state of the QD.
