Abstract :
In this paper we examine the radiation pattern of a rotating TE/sub mn/ mode Vlasov feed which has been modified by the addition of corrugated flares. Such modes are produced in the cavities of high-power gyrotrons currently under development. The addition of the corrugated flares decreases the azimuthal beamwidth and increases the peak power density of the radiation pattern.
