Abstract
Full wave analysis of arbitrary open or shielded transmission lines by a space domain Boundary Integral Equation Method is demonstrated. It combines versatility in structure definition with reliability in that it is free of the "spurious solution" phenomenon. a problem which pertains to virtually any numerical method in full wave eigenvalue problems except eigenfunction expansions. For the first time a mathematical explanation of the origin of this problem is given and its general solution described.
