Abstract :
In order to finish various performance design work of ships and supporting facilities´ installation in ships, the three-dimensional cabin layout model of ships needs to be rebuilt. However, the ship´s structure is too complex that it cost much time to rebuild the model in traditional way. In order to finish the rebuilding work much more quickly, a new method was proposed in this paper. By the new method, the layout model could be set up by the OpenGL tool library on the platform of VC++ when the deck geometrical data extracted from the corresponding *.dxf format file and stored in the format of arrays. By the new method, the three dimensional model could be rebuilt quickly and directly from the two dimensional plane drawings. It raised the design work´ efficiency of various aided system for ships to a certain extent.
