Abstract :
In this paper, the conducted emission characteristics of active snubber boost converter with proposed timing diagram re compared with the conventional boost converter. It is theoretically said that soft switching techniques can reduce the high switching dv/dt and di/dt rate, and as a result, it therefore could reduce EMI noise generated by hard switching. However, with increasing number of switching elements, major rate of change is still imposed on either switches, the effectiveness of soft switching technique from presented active snubber boost converter to mitigate conducted emission is considerably limited.
