Abstract :
Conventionally, the measurement of an inductance and capacitance value of a DC-DC converter with boost topology is using linear function approach and only considerate while the switch (transistor) is in the on state. In this paper, exponential function approach is used. This function is arranged based on analyzing the converter during transient condition (i.e. the switch (transistor) is either active or inactive). The measured values of the inductance and capacitance are then compared to the simulation of the DC-DC converters and justified with an experimental result. From the comparison, it is shown that this approach is better than the conventional method.
