Abstract :
The propagation characteristics of coplanar structures (i.e coplanar waveguides with coupled centre strips ) based on full wave spectral domain analysis are presented and discussed. As an example of multiconductor coplanar structures, frequency dependent characteristics of coplanar waveguides with two center strips are given. These results have been compared with those from static computations in literature and a good agreement has been achieved for low frequencies. As a further test on the validity of the presented parameters especially at high frequencies, a parallel-coupled filter has been designed and fabricated on ceramic substrate with a centre frequency at 10 GHz.
