Abstract :
Litton has built a large number of wideband MPM type vacuum devices (TWT vacuum power boosters) for military applications. This paper is an inevitable extension where high power, wide bandwidth, and high efficiency would be advantageous for decoy operation. The most important part of decoy operation is the ability to survive multiple high temperature excursions to greater than 250 degrees C. Litton has demonstrated this ability without degraded performance.
