Abstract :
In this paper, a concept and investigation of orthogonal linear polarization switchable planar antenna is proposed. In order to switch the polarization axis, four switching diodes are loaded on the upper plane of the antenna. The boundary condition of the planar antenna is controlled by the ON/OFF condition of the diodes. The antenna can switch the polarization at ±45 deg. □ and 0 & 90 deg., depending on the polarity of the bias voltage and the position of the diodes. The FDTD method introduced by Yee is used to simulate the antenna which is followed by the experimental investigation.
