Abstract :
Using the low frequency noise power measurements of a MESFET, the input current and voltage equivalent noise generators of the usual FET noise model are determined. After modelling of its non-linear behaviour, a MMIC oscillator was realized, whose phase noise spectrum was measured. Then, using a new software tool this oscillator phase noise spectrum was also simulated. The excellent agreement between the simulated and experimental data validates this CAD tool.
