Abstract :
Giving priority to developing public transport is of great significance for managing urban traffic congestion, which setting bus lanes in the intersection gives space priority to public transport. In the intersection´s bus lanes planning process, the intersection effective evaluation is indispensable. First of all, establish intersection effective evaluation system for comparing traffic efficiency before and after the installation of bus lane. Then, a method of evaluating intersection traffic effect is proposed. Finally, use VISSIM for simulating intersection, and the method is effectively verified for providing references for bus lanes programs in intersection.
