Abstract :
This paper presents an economical function generator and delta modulator circuits, which consist of hysteresis and wide range tunable voltage to current converter (VIC) for synthesizing the delta modulation signal. This circuit is used to be either a square wave and triangle wave generator, it can vary on 5 decades of frequency when it has zero input signal, or a delta modulation when there is sinusoidal wave input signal. On output, the harmonics are controlled by output current of a voltage to current converter circuit. The tunable current technique accessed controls the harmonic output signal and charging voltage across a capacitor to be linear as an ideal integrator model. Moreover, this circuit can be used for low-frequency DC-AC power inverters with sinusoidal output voltage, this circuit consists of a few components and another achieving these objectives are minimized for circuit complexity. Experimental verifications are carried out for delta modulator circuits.
