  • Abstract
For the rational mode of intervention of the traditional arts¿ protection and promotion from CAD technology, the paper researches on the computer-aided design technology of paper-cut art design. Based on the protection of artists¿ creative thinking, creativity and production in designing process are divided effectively. The inefficient repeating and uncreative works in paper-cut art are completed by using CAD technology. Artists¿ creative thinking are fleetly expressed with lots of schemas and works¿ production is aided perfectly. Based on digital CAD technology theory, paper-cut element symbols database are picked-up. Paper-cut CAD system based on CorelDraw is implemented by using the technology of plane array parameterization, path decoration, folding and combination of lots of schemas. The designing process validation is carried through with typical traditional designs.
