Abstract :
This is a tutorial paper that studies the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of single-phase grid connected PV inverters by investigating the impact of switching frequency, the stray impedance and the inverter topology on the EMC. The study is based on the time-domain simulation of practical circuit model using the PSIM software package and the frequency-domain spectra analysis in the MabLab environment. The topology concerned includes half bridge, the parallel combination of half bridges and full bridge inverters under the natural sampled pulse width modulation.
