Abstract
Based on the different grounding methods which are probably used in hydro-generators of Three-Gorges Power Plant, the paper presents the comparison results of the protection effects of different subharmonic injection schemes. The different application characteristics by injecting a certain voltage from the generator neutral or its terminals are also described. For obtaining higher sensitivity, the more effective fault contribution current is induced, and the corresponding protection scheme is developed in this paper
