Abstract :
Mass customization product design in the virtual design system based on B/S mode is studied. The approach is based on prototype product parameterized modeling and VRML language, and is supported by Eletrical Apparatus Product Intelligent Design System (IDS). The IDS processes the customer´s requirements of products and produces a design result document including the designed product structure and parameters. The CAD system-MDT generates the solid product model with the parameters by means of parameterized model database then transforms the models into the models of VRML language. The customers can observe the models of MC product with the browser. The approach is a new way to virtual design of MC product.
