Abstract
We consider mitigation of clutter that is distributed in range and Doppler frequency for scenarios that have a difference in the direction-of-departure (DoD) between a target and a clutter patch at the same radar range. We demonstrate that efficient clutter mitigation can be achieved by a MIMO radar with a specific waveform set by (adaptive) non-causal beamforming of the transmit antenna under certain limitations on the total area in range and Doppler frequency occupied by all possible targets and clutter.
