Abstract :
A new antenna, based on a travelling wave antenna principle, is presented. Antenna consists of a ferrite-dielectric waveguide and microstrip dipoles, which are placed along on a surface of the waveguide. The phase velocity of the exciting wave is changed, when ferrite elements are magnetized. Presented antenna is mm-wave and low cost, because planar integrated technology can be applied. The 35 GHz antenna possesses two dimensional scanning in ± 40 degree angle range and 6 - 1 degree 3-dB pattern width.
