Abstract :
Several methods for accurate gain extrapolation from near-field measurements have been developed by Newell et al[1, 2]. They are based on the fact that data obtained by moving two antennas relative to each other can be extrapolated. In this paper two different methods are discussed and compared with the existing ones using simulated near-field data. The gain accuracy is verified taking into account the influence of uncorrect distance information, and reflections. It turns out that small to significant improvements can be obtained, specially in the case of large reflections.
