Abstract :
At the rated load, the efficiency of vector controlled induction motor is usually high. However at the light load, the efficiency is low and there is significant margins for efficiency improvement. In this paper, in order to improve efficiency a hybrid control strategy is proposed, which is based on the combination of loss model and fuzzy search. At the steady-state light-load condition, the initial value of the optimal flux is obtained by the loss model of motor, and then a fuzzy search in a certain range around the initial flux value is applied to determine the practical optimal flux. The simulation results show that the proposed control strategy is effective.
