Abstract :
The Sifang Rolling Stock Research Institute (SRI) of China Northern Rail (CNR) and Siemens ELIN Traction department Electrical Components are cooperating on the development of an innovative concept for auxiliary power supply systems (APS) for the onboard supplies of passenger coaches. The newly developed systems are intended to increase significantly the reliability and availability in comparison to currently used systems.
