Abstract :
A new three-phase four-wire shunt active filter strategy based on instantaneous current control is proposed. The proposed control method aims to compensate harmonics, load unbalance and reactive power compensation. The control method proposed is simple to implement with discrete components. The active filter strategy has been evaluated for both linear and nonlinear loads. System synthesis and implementation have been carried out. Simulation of the active filter has been performed with both linear and non-linear loads. Experimental results of a prototype active filter are presented.
