Abstract
A delta-sigma modulator can reduce unnecessary noise with its unique feature of spread spectrum. The authors have proposed power converters and inverters applying the delta-sigma modulation scheme. In this paper, the authors propose an advanced delta-sigma modulated full bridge power factor correction (PFC) converter which can reduce unnecessary components introducing a simplified pulse space modulation technique. From the analytical results, the proposed circuit has current-regulated characteristics under high power factor operation.
