Abstract :
An open and extensible framework of mass customization systems is needed for supporting the seamless integration of customization system, CAX tools and legacy systems. The emergence of service-oriented architecture (SOA) has brought about a loosely coupled computing environment that enables flexible integration and reuse of heterogeneous systems. In this paper, an SOA-based architecture of product collaborative design system (PCDS) for MC is proposed. The applicability of the SOA and Web services technologies enable the framework to utilize and integrate effectively various engineering resources on the geographically distributed computing environments. In addition, discussed information exchange, interaction mechanism of the framework. Finally, a SOA-based prototype system for concrete mixing station is illustrated.
